ACTIVITIES / ATTRACTIONS: The Machalilla National Park is the main attraction in the area and offers great natural and cultural diversity. During the humpback whales stay in Ecuadorian waters, June - August, there are whale-watching tours availables daily. Explore: Marine and coastal ecosystems. Walk: During low tide you can observe a diversity of marine invertebrates, shore and marines birds. The beach offers impressive landscapes and a curious geology. Surf: All year you will find fast wave 3 to 7 ft. From the hosteria you can paddle 45 min to Ahorcados Island to snorkel and admire impressive bird colonies.
